UAE: Manned Mars mission to be simulated in metaverse

The 2117 Metaverse project will capture the sensations of being in space and setting foot on the Red Planet

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) said on Monday that it will help construct a simulation that will transport the UAE’s human 2117 Mars expedition to the metaverse.

This groundbreaking initiative, directed by Web3 pioneer Bedu, will produce a one-of-a-kind metaverse experience that will recreate the experiences of being in space and stepping foot on Mars, as well as raise awareness about the obstacles of exploration and colonization.

The MBRSC and Bedu will work closely on the 2117 Metaverse project, which will be formalized by a memorandum of agreement.

“As we set our sights on ever more challenging destinations for exploration with humans and robots,” said Adnan Al Rais, Mars 2117 program manager at the MBRSC.

Innovative ideas and forward-thinking will be important in assisting us in reaching new milestones. MBRSC will promote concepts like this since we feel they will help us broaden our purview of larger possibilities.”

To guide and influence its growth, the MBRSC will collaborate closely with Bedu specialists. This will entail offering advice, sharing data and information on space and Mars, and creating a steering group to assess the partnership’s success.

Both organizations will also work together on 2117 metaverse element conception, creative development, and visualization.

Bedu, on the other side, will give consulting and advising services to MBRSC in areas like non-fungible tokens (NFTs), Web3, and the Metaverse.
