7. The Last Post bugle call is played at around 11:55 a.m., followed by a two-minute national moment of silence.
8. A lament, a musical expression of loss, and the national song “God Save the King” (about) complete the ceremony.
9. Around Hyde Park Corner, close to Buckingham Palace, at 12:15 p.m., the coffin is drawn on the gun carriage in the direction of Wellington Arch.
The king, senior royals, and a parade that includes military units from the Commonwealth, an alliance of 56 countries that the queen led, follow it.
At minute intervals throughout, the UK parliament’s “Big Ben” bell and gun salutes fire.
10. Around 1:00 p.m., the coffin arrives at Wellington Arch, is transferred to the royal hearse, and is driven west of London to Windsor Castle.
11. The hearse arrives in Windsor at 3:06 p.m. and travels up the grand Long Walk avenue to the castle.
