India: Comedian Raju Srivastava dies after being on the ventilator for over a month

He was admitted to AIIMS Delhi on August 10 after he experienced chest pain and collapsed while working out at the gym

Raju Srivastava, 58, died on Wednesday in Delhi, according to his relatives.

Srivastava was brought to AIIMS Delhi on August 10 after collapsing and experiencing chest trouble while working out at the gym.

On the same day, he had an angioplasty.

Srivastava has been in the entertainment industry since the late 1980s and rose to prominence in 2005 after appearing on the inaugural season of the stand-up comedy show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.”

He has appeared in films such as ‘Maine Pyar Kiya,’ ‘Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya,’ and ‘Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon.’
